Terms of use
The terms covering use of this website. Engagements are governed separately.
These terms cover reading and using this website. They are not the terms we work under. Work is governed by the contract for that engagement, and where that contract and these terms differ, the contract wins.
Who we are
Cliff Software Solutions Ltd is Registered in England and Wales, company number 09959705. The registered office is 3 Shrieves Walk, Sheep St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6GJ. You can reach us at [email protected].
Using this site
You are welcome to read this site, and to print or save pages from it for your own reference. Beyond that, please do not:
- republish, sell or redistribute material from the site without our written permission
- present our material as your own, or remove our name from it
- use the site in a way that damages it, interferes with anyone else's use of it, or breaks the law
- try to reach any part of the site or the systems hosting it that is not open to the public
What is here is not advice
Everything on this site is general information about what Cliff Software Solutions does. It is not professional advice and it is not tailored to your situation. Architecture decisions turn on detail that a public web page cannot carry, and the right answer for one platform is regularly the wrong answer for another.
Do not act on anything here without taking advice on your own circumstances. If you want our view on your platform, engage us and you will get one that accounts for the facts.
Case studies and figures
Case studies describe work done for a particular client, on a particular system, under particular constraints. The figures in them are real and measured. They are the outcome of that engagement rather than a forecast of yours, and nothing on this site is a promise or a guarantee of a similar result.
Where a client is named, it is with their permission. Where a client is not named, the details are anonymised deliberately and we will not confirm identities.
Our material
The content of this site, including the text, the case studies, the architecture diagrams and the design of the pages, belongs to Cliff Software Solutions or is used with permission. The company name and the logo are ours, and the permission to print and save pages does not extend to them.
If you want to do more with any of it than read it, ask. We are usually happy to say yes.
Links to other sites
Where we link to another site it is because we think it is worth reading. We do not control those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your information.
Availability
This site is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, and we may change, move or remove any part of it without notice.
Our liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Beyond that, this site is aimed at businesses. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude the conditions, warranties and other terms that might otherwise be implied into your use of it, and we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on anything published here. That includes lost profit, lost business, lost data and lost opportunity, whether or not the loss was foreseeable.
Liability for work carried out under an engagement is dealt with in the contract for that engagement, not here.
If you are using this site as a consumer rather than for business purposes, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is set out in the privacy notice.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms when what the site does changes. This version is dated 05/09/2026.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes about them fall to the courts of England and Wales.
